Since the age of eleven, when I joined the school photography club, I have had a keen interest in photography.

On leaving school I worked for a large photographer in Bradford (UK), principally as a black and white printer, for three years.

I left at the age of nineteen to set up my own photography business based in Otley, West Yorkshire, where I developed as a social photographer, doing portraits, weddings, and a small amount of commercial work.

Four years later, unable to expand my business as I hoped to do, I did some travelling before returning to the UK and entering the world of sales and marketing. I continued to take an interest in photography and video.

More recently I have returned to photography, and now earn an income photographing property in the West Yorkshire area for local estate agents.

In 2016 and 2017 I had success in two major photographic competitions: 2016 Travel Photographer of the Year, where I was shortlisted in the portrait section with ‘Don’, and in 2017 Sony Photographer of the Year awards, shortlisted for ‘Downtown Phoenix’ in the architectural section.

Both pieces of work came out of the passion I have for travel and photographing, which I hope to convey through my website. I hope you enjoy my work.
